O'Bryen - Colonel James Joseph - 22nd Punjab Native Infantry - died 21st January 1880.
Born 20th August 1822 in Co. Clare, Ireland. Married Louisa Barnes at Colgong, Bengal, 20th August 1851. Served Sutlej (medal and 2 bars), Lushai 1871 (medal and bar), Jowaki 1877 (bar). His son, Lt-Col. James L. O'Bryen, was killed in action in 1897.

Ochterlony - Major-General Sir David, GCB - Bengal Army - died 14th July 1825.
Born at Boston, New England in 1758, son of David Ochterlony. Entered the Bengal Army in 1777. Served in the Doab, 1803, Nepal 1814-1816 (Baronet and KCB, 1814. GCB 1816), Mahratta war 1817, Resident in Rajputana 1818.

Born 1787 as Joseph White Jeffery, changed his name in 1810. Served Mahratta-Pindari war 1817. Ghuzni 1839 (medal, CB), Sutlej 1845 (medal). Married Maria Stuart at Calcutta, 2nd June 1824. (his second marriage).
