YEATHERD - Major Ernest Walter - 2nd Royal Lancaster Regt.
Wounded on the Tugela, 22nd February 1900. Died at Pietermaritzburg, 26th February. Aged 47.

YOCKNEY - Captain T. - Imperial Light Horse
Killed in action at Naauwpoort. 5th January 1901.

YOUNG - Captain Edward Gordon - Royal Engineers
Died of enteric at Kimberley. 5th June 1900. Aged 32.

YOUNG - Lieutenant Edward Maule - 1st King's Own Scottish Borderers
Died of wounds near Brandfort. 29th March 1900. Aged 29. Educated at Cheltenham College.

YOUNG - Major Norman Edward, D.S.O. - Royal Field Artillery
Died of enteric at Bloemfontein. 26th February 1902. Aged 39. Born 21st Oct. 1862. Served with Egyptian Army (Dongola Campaign 1896; Egyptian Medal 2 clasps, MID); Nile 1897 (2 clasps, MID), Sudan 1898 (Medal, 2 clasps to Egyptian Medal, 4th Class Osmanieh, DSO).

YOUNGER - Captain David Reginald, V.C. - 1st Gordon Highlanders
Killed in action at Doornboschfontein. 11th June 1900. Aged 29. Awarded the Victoria Cross for the action in which he was killed.

YOUNGER - 2nd Lieutenant Edward John - 16th Lancers
Killed in action near Clanwilliam. 23rd December 1901. Aged 19.
